Victoria Ballet Theatre Garners Awards at Regional Dance America/Southwest Festival

Founding Artistic Director Debbe Busby was awarded the “Stream Award” at the Regional Dance America/ Southwest Festival in San Antonio in April.  This recognition is an annual award selected by committee in recognition of the one company within the organization who displayed the highest artistic excellence and the greatest service to the Regional Dance America/Southwest in the past year. 
Victoria Ballet Theatre dancers also received other awards at the Festival in San Antonio.  Zach Hutchison received a scholarship to the dance program at Mercyhurst College as well as a scholarship to the RDA Craft of Choreography workshop held in North Carolina this summer.  Ashley Fajkus received a scholarship to the summer dance program at Ballet Forte in Houston, Texas.  Avery Fajkus received a scholarship to the Elite Ecole summer dance program in San Antonio, Texas.
