Victoria Ballet Theatre Presents Awards and Recognition at Its Annual Volunteer & Dancer Appreciation Banquet
               
On April 17th Victoria Ballet Theatre held its annual banquet to recognize the outstanding work of our dancers and volunteers.  Chelsea Slaughter was awarded the VBT Board of Trustees Star Award for all the hard work and exemplary effort she has put in to supporting the ballet theatre this year.  Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award was awarded to Mary Regenbrecht by the Victoria Ballet Society for all the time and energy she devotes to the organization.  Three company awards were presented to dancers by the artistic staff.  Junior company member Hailey Regenbrecht received the Rising Star Award for her improvement and excellent attitude throughout the year.  Senior company member Ainsley Tharp received the Grand Jetė Award for her artistic growth, dedication and outstanding performance this year.  Senior Courtney Bosier was awarded the Spirit of VBT Award.  The Spirit of VBT Award is voted on by the entire company of dancers and is designated to honor a dancer that epitomizes the qualities that best represent the Victoria Ballet Theatre: hard work, respect, compassion and maturity.  Ms. Bosier was also presented a scholarship by Mrs. Busby on behalf of the Board of Directors and Young Tanzommer to the Glenda Brown Craft of Choreography workshop this summer.
               
Graduating seniors Courtney Bosier, Katherine Cano, Kellea Goebel, Audrey High, Zach Hutchison and Lexey Long were also honored.  These outstanding seniors have been accepted to numerous Universities and Colleges and have received over $200,000 in scholarships.  Congratulations Seniors!
